Aqueous Timeline of Payments

By akashaq
  • Design/Engineering ($2,500)

Designing and engineering of specifications for the bottle and all components. This is to certify the usability and workability of the bottle and all of its components.
  • Patentability Search/ Freedom to Operate ($1,600)

This is to reveiw and see that the current designs are patentable and to certify that we are not impeding on anyone else's patent. Must be done to keep us protected from future lawsuits or being shut down after entering the market. ($1,600: [800 for each])
  • Provisional Patent Application ($400)

This will be done in order to have something on file. This is to protect our intellectual property for the bottle between now and when the non-provisional is filed. We will be patent pending from his point forward. The documentation and filing will be done by us to save attorney fees. ($400)
  • Business License Renewal ($325)

In order to keep Aqueous, LLC active.
  • Prototype ($3,000)

In order to check parts and see what product looks like. There will be prototypes in order to make sure the parts are working, and one to show vendors what exactly we're talking about in terms of our product. Important to make sure the money on the mold is not wasted on an unworkable product, and to start obtaining contracts while the mold is in production. ($3,000)
  • Begin Mold Design Process ($3,000)

Once the designs begin to get finalized the mold design process shall begin. This is to design the actual mold and put it in a workable SolidWorks file. The complexity and perfection of this part is important to make sure the parts come out right and that the manufacturing process is done as quickly and easily as possible. The $3,000 is an estimated retainer for the total $6,000 we're assuming this process will end up costing us. ($3,000)
  • Finalize Designs ($2,500)

Second installment of total $5,000 price of for designs at completion of design process. ($2,500)
  • Non-Provisional Patent ($9,000)

This is the main Patent that will be filed. Must be done by a professional attorney and done well, this is important. There is a lot of legal strategy involved in having a good patent, not having a good patent is like having no patent at all. Crucial to protect us and our intellectual property. This is the point where it will be drafted and filed. Then it will sit for 2-3 years before we will have to pay more or worry. ($9,000)
  • Finalize Mold Designs ($3,000)

Mold designs should be finalized around this time. In which case we will be paying the remainder of the balance. Once these designs are done we can start sending it to mold makers. ($3,000)
  • Mold ($50,000)

P20 (pre-hardened steel) mold. This is for our first 100,000 units. Most likely 2 molds, one for both pieces of bottle, and one for both caps. The mold with the caps will most likely be able to go passed 100,000 units with maintenance. Same with the mold for the bottle pieces, but not as likely. This is used for a test run before getting Hardened Steel multi-cavity molds. Overestimated ($50,000)
  • Label Design ($500)

Label design will be important to the overall look of the bottle. I can make mock designs, but we want the actual design to be professionally done and polished so that our bottle looks like high quality bottle. This can cost upwards of $10,000 but I should be able to get it for $500 with the people I know from advertising. ($500)
  • Riviera Bottling Set-up ($20,000)

Because our bottle is different, we have to buy change parts for Riviera's bottling line. This set up will allow us to do 6 figure runs from that point forward.
  • Licensing (?)

Licensing for selling and assembly. Start to acquire at turn of the year.
  • Warehouse ($10,000)

This is warehouse costs for the first 5 months. This is subject to change depending on whether Stanton will let us produce here or not and other ambiguous possibilities. ($10,000)
