    The Canidates for this election were: Andrew Jackson, John Q. Adams, Henry Clay, and William Crawford. Andrew Jackson was the winner of the popular vote but nobody won the electoral vote. When the vote was handed over to the house of representatives John Q. Adams won.

    The indian removal act forced Indian tribes off of Georgia. This caused many deaths within the indian tribes. Some tribes lashed out against this in a series of conflicts called 'The Seminole Wars'. The Natives were pushed into Indian Territiory which is present day oklahoma

    Worchester vs. Georgia
    The Indian Removal Act started when Georgia wanted to get more anglo settlers therefore having to remove the natives off of their land. They went about this forcefully but instead of retaliating they went to court to sue Georgia. The court ruleing was that georgia had no right to remove the naives but since Jackson belived in states rights he decided not to enforce this

    Jackson didnt belive in the bank because hee belived it had too much control and that the owners were corrupt. When the bank started cutting back on loans to farmers in the west thats when Jackson thought it had gone to far and decided that he needed to shut it down. He did this by vetoing the charter for the bank when i came around again thus ending its existance.

    Nullification Crisis
    The nullification crisis was cause by the tariff of 1828 which was a 'protective tariff' placed on imported goods. This tariff hurt the south beacuse they had to pay extra on imported goods. This benifited the north because they didnt have to compete with other countries that imported their goods. The vice president, John C. Calhoun, was from south carolina and belived in states rights so the nullification act was passed and this declaired the the Tariff Illegal.
