    This is the start of the Vedic Age. Hinduism was found in the Vedic Age. There isn't an official founder of it though. The beliefs of Hinduism could be found in their holy book called the Vedas.
  • Siddhartha Guatama
    563 BCE

    Siddhartha Guatama

    Siddhartha Guatama was born. He wanted to end suffering in peoples' lives so he meditated and achieved enlightenment. He was then known as the Buddha man and made the religion of Buddhism.
  • Vedic Age End

    Vedic Age End

    This was the ending of this age where Hinduism was formed.
  • Mauryan Empire

    Mauryan Empire

    The Maurya Empire was founded. Founded by Chandragupta Maurya, India finally achieved political unification.

    Asoka

    Asoka was said to be the greatest leader of the Mauryan Empire. After he conquered Kalinga he gave up his violent ways and spread Buddhism all over.
  • Collapse of Maurya

    Collapse of Maurya

    The Mauryan Empire declined after Asoka's death because there were no strong leaders after and the border states started declaring their independence. Eventually, it collapsed and was ruled by many princes in different kingdoms.

    The Golden Ages started in 319 CE. This was a time for the Gupta Empire to start up and grow. Ancient India was prospering at this time with many advances like astronomy.
