The winner would receive pride for their city-state and a crown made of olive leaves. Competitors still participate in these events to this day every four years. Even though these games have changed over the years, they still revolve around the same theme.

    This was Athens' best time period lasting 75 years. Theese were the years Athens was the strongest, Pericles was around, and the Parthenon was built.

    Athens agreed to help the city-state Miletus against the Persians the battle of Marathon. King Xerxes just stayed and watched his Persian army fight the Greeks in war.

    Athens and Sparta have gotten into a great disagreement and have came to a war to take down the other city state. Eventually Athens is defeated and Sparta takes over Athens but still lets Athens keep thier democracy.

    Plato was a student of Socrates and fled with some other philosophers because he was scared that they would be the next people to be executed for being philosophers.
