Colonel William Travis arrives with about 40 men and was put suddenly in change when Jim Bowie was forced to leave on family business. around half of the 200 men were volunteers and only took orders from Bowie, who himself didn't care for Travis and often purposely contradicted his orders.

    Davy Crockett was a legendary frontiersman and former Congressmen, that joined the army in Alamo with a couple more volunteers armed with riflies. He served as a private and played his fiddle for the defenders.

    Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna head the massive 2,oo persons army and laid siego to Alamo. The defenders retreated to the relative safety of the Alamo.

Finnin never sent his men or replied to Travis' request. Travis also requested help from Sam Houston and the delegrates at Washington-on-the-brazoz. But no help came

    The Mexicans attack. The soldiers made their way throught the walls of the heavily protected Alamo. The 2,000 Mexican soliders defeated the army of almost 200 men in about 90 minutes.
