After stepping down from power, Napoleon was first exiled to to Elbia, an island in the mediterranean. Louis XVIII took power, but the transition of leaders didn’t go smoothly. Napoleon escaped his exile and returned to france. -
Napoleon’s return
After escaping his exile, Napoleon returned to France. As Napoleon advanced, citizens were happy, and Louis XVIII fled. In March of 1815, he entered Paris triumphantly. -
