When the Soviet Army was entering Berlin he used what some speculate to be rat poison and/or some cyanide but this is not true. It was a simple gunshot. His WIFE however, committed suicide with him by ingesting cyanide capsules. After this event the Soviet union retracted a bit for a while. Then when the Holocaust was "over" was when Germany surrendered to the Allies with no conditions as to what they want to surrender to the public. This then caused all of the anti-semitic states to shift ways.
