    Christianity introduced by Romans

    The Romans invaded in 43 CE. In the 4th century, Christianity was introduced.

    Angles and Saxons invade

    There is no specific date for this, but 410 is around the time the Angles and Saxons were considered to invade. This is why it's called England (Land of the Angles, Angle Land, England). It's also why the English are called Anglo-Saxons. It's considered the beginning of English history.

    Normans invade

    Normans invade from the coast of France, fundamentally changing the English language forever with French influence.

    Henry II takes the English throne
