In 202 B.C. the Roman army is lead by Scipio. He invades Carthage, and Hannable (who was wagging war in Italy) had no choice but to go to Charthage and defend his home.

At the Battle of Zama,in 202 B.C., Scipio's troops defeated the Carthagenians. Carthage gave up Spain to Rome, it's navy, and had to pay a large fine. Rome now rules the western Mediterranean.

In 211 B.C Hannible comes to Rome, but he is lacking enough men and equipment to storm it, so he just "visits". Later the place that he camped at was sold in an acution, at full price.

In 216 B.C. Rome sufferes severe losses at the Battle of Cannae, in southern Italy. Even though Hannibal's army was outnumbered, it overpowered the Roman forces and raided Italy.

In 221 B.C a twenty-five-year old assumes control of the Carthagenians. His name is Hannible. He is Hamicar's son. He creates an allience between tribes in Spain, and creats a large army there as well.

In 241 B.C the first Punic war ends, and no side really wins. Carthage pays a fine to Rome and gives up Sicily. Hamilcar (Hannibles father) dies, leaving Hannible in charge of the troops. A treaty is signed that says that Carthage will not expand it's emire north of the river Ebro in Spain.

The second Punic War startes in 218 B.C. It is again fought by the Romans and the Carthagenians. Rome wins agoain.

In 238 B.C Rome takes control of Corsica, after the Carthagenian hired military rebels. This angers the Carthagnians, so they go to Spain to set up colonies, and build an army to attach Rome with.

In 149 B.C Rome becomes suspicious of a recovering Carthage, and tells them to abandon their city, and go inland to North Africa, but they refused. So Rome goes and atacks the City.

In 129 B.C.Rome gaines it's first province in Asia.
