with the consolidation of saluda and hanover high school. since they were located in the southwestern region jefferson county, the school was offcally named southwestern jefferson county consolidated high school. it was located at the building of the old hanover high school.

Southwesrn's Esprit- on it 25th year was strtes in 1985. and throughout the years Esprit has made a name for it self under the direction of Rick Reckenr and Cheograph by Jason Jonhson
