Verdun Offencive
One of the first actions of the war, the Verdun Offencive was intended to "bleed the French army white" over several days before moving on to capture Paris. However the battle disolved into a ten month stalemate that effectivly decimated both German and French armies alike and crippled future assualts in the sector -

The "Spanish Flu" Influenza Pandemic
A virus known as the "Spanish Flu" was unintenionaly carried to Europe by American soldiers and from there spread around the world, killing up to 50 million people or nearly one third of the worlds population by December of 1920. In many cases soldiers contracted the virus in the trenches or barracks and imported the disease home with them following the war -
Russian Revoulotion
Dishartened by the military incompatence of the Russian military many soldiers and factory workers rally to the Bolshvik cause. As the new regiem was unable to effectivly mobilise the Russian army they where forced to cede large amounts of territory to the Germans -
The Spring Offencive
Germany launched a massive offencive in the Verdun sector, breaking through at several points and even shelling Paris. However by late April the Allies had retaken all captured positions and dealt massive casulties on the Germans, especialy the elite "Storm Trooper" divisions, Germany never recovered from these losses and began negotiating for peace with the Allies -
The Hundred Days Offencive
The last major Allied offencive in the war, and the death blow for German military ambitions. The offencive continued up to November 11th and relied heavily on Briton's colonial forces, including the Candians. -
