2.2 Assignment

  • creating plan

To make a good plan for your goal you need to understand if it is a realistic goal, something that can actually be done and are will to work for. (Pg. 5). Example would be my friend and I deciding to workout to stay in shape for sports as she already had a membership and gym experience, it was motivating in that there was some familiarity with the goal.
  • Six W's

now that you've made a realistic goal now you need to make the specific detailed parts of the goal with the six W's who, what, where, when, which, why. (Pg. 4). Example would be that it was going to be the two of us that would go to the YMCA with certain days being certain workouts.
  • Timely

with the goal and the specifics sorted out it's time to set a time frame, without one the plan will fall apart as there is nothing to motivate you to get it done and it may just sit there for awhile (Pg. 5). Example after coming up with the where and how, we now needed to come up with a time frame with rules, started that week with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's being the time to go to the gym.
