    Following the women, hundreds of thousands of Petrograd workers, students, and many others join the strkers and demand Russia exits from WWI and that the Czar abdicate the throne. Government troops are ordered to open fire on the protesters and hundreds are killed and arrested. Shortly following, the troops defect and join the revolution.     Provisional Government Created
    The provisional Committee of the Duma forms the Provisional Government and Georgy Yevgenyevich Lvov becomes first prime minister and minister of the interior. The Petrograd Soviet pledges loyalty to the Provisional Government. Nicholas II abdicates in favor of his brother who declines a few days later.

    Soldiers and industrial workers begin spontaneous demonstrations against the Russian Provisional Government. Demonstrators ask for the Soviet to replace the Provisional Government. The Bolsheviks attempt to turn the protests into a coup causing military forces to attack the peaceful demonstrations. Hundreds are killed and Lenin is forced into hiding.
