    After being around for around 1500 years Mesopotamia eventually did fall. People believe that the land, after being used for years and years became unfertile. People needed to farm in order to live and they no longer were able to.

    The fertile crescent is the area around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. This area is called "The Fertile Crescent" because it has very nice land for farming. The land helped people settle down because they didn't have to follow animals around to hunt.

    The ancient Indus civilization was believed to be peaceful. This civilization is believed to have had the first plumbing system. Was located in the Indus Valley.

    During the "Old Kingdom" of Egypt the great sphinx was constructed. Many believe the sphinx was built for a pharaoh. The sphinx is one of the most renowned monuments known to man.

    Pyramids were built for many years, but they began during the "old kingdom". Pharaohs were buried in some pyramids but not in all. Ramses the Great was the ruler at this time and he spent a lot of money on the pyramids.

    The Shang dynasty are the oldest know dynasty. The Shang dynasty built large tombs and palaces. Also, the Shang dynasty wrote on turtle shells.

    The caste system is a system where everyone is assigned a class and you must do the things assigned to that class. Everyone stayed about the same class as their parents. The four main classes are Brahmin, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Sudras.

    In the new Kingdom Egypt expanded very much. During this time many hidden tombs were built such as "valley of the kings". They began hiding these tombs due to people stealing things from inside.

    Confucianism is not a religion it is more like a guide to be happy. In confucianism it says in order to be happy you need to know your social role. This means that they believed some people were better than others.

    Period in time where China was divided into multiple parts. Lasted about 54 years. Qin dynasty finally conquered everyone in 221 BC.

    In the year 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Columbus sailed and he found the Americas. In 1506 Christopher Columbus died.
