    Adolf Hitler is born in Austria
    Hitler is born in Braunau Am Inn, Austria. His parents, Alois and Klara, come from poor peasant families.
    Histroical Siggnificane: Adolf Hitler being born created a long lasting change by insulting Germany as to what there leader has done and how many innocent soldiers fought to protect there country and died because of him participating in WW1 and WW2.
  • Adolf Hitler's mother dies

    Klara Hitler dies of cancer. The loss of his mother affects Hitler deeply and it is said that he has a photo of her in his pocket when he dies.
    Historical Significance: The thought that this man who seems thoughtless and unmerciful treats his mother as gold at the end creates lasting change. His mother passing away also leads him to some way joining the military which cuauses extremem exents which are very significant.

    At age of 17, Hitler moves to Vienna, the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He plans to attend art school there but when he is rejected by the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts for the second time in October, he gives up on his dream.
    Hisotrical Significance: His parents death and now him being rejected of being one of the best artists leads him to joining the army wich further on creates a mess.

    One of the turning points if when Adolf Hitler was rejected by the art school. This is a truning point because his dream of becoming a great artist was destroyed.
    Cause & Affect: The cause is that he was rejected from the Vienna Academy og Fine Arts. The effect is that he latter became military personnel which later led him to be the leader of the Nazi party
  • Hitler begins military service in World War I

    After ignoring his army orders in 1909 because of his hate for Austria and later being rejected by the Austrian army for being too weak, Hitler volunteers for Germany. With a war happening, medical examinations were not a strict and Hitler is accepted.
    Cuse and Affect: Hitler being among those accepted into military causes many problems for citizen's who are all around the world. The affect of this leads to wars and inventions of hi-techh technology which is known only after the wars.
  • Hitler is blinded by Mustard Gas

    While fighting the British, Hitler is blinded by a mustard gas attack. He regains his sight but while he is recovering he is deeply depressed and spends much of his time crying.
    Ethical Dimension:
    The mustard gas vanishing his eye sight for sometime lead us to think that maybe underneath this harsh mask perhaps there is a human being who has emotions the same as people but doesn't come to understanding.
  • Hitler volunteers to identify Socialist Republic sympathizers.

    In Munich, Hitler convinces the German army that he is against socialism and avoids arrest. He helps the army find other soldiers who did support socialism and he is recruited to be a political officer.
    Cause & Affect: The causes of him avoiding arrest leads to soldiers supporting socialism to boost him to become a political officier.

    Hitler becomes the leader of new political party, nicknamed Nazi. The party's official name is National Socialist German Workers Party and it believes that equality is only for Germans, not Jews or immigrants.
    Historical Significance: Hitler joining the Nazi party created long lasting change because he throughout his time of governing killed,enfastated and changed rules upon many levels which effected everyone of that time and reflects upon today as well.
  • Hitler is sentenced to five years in prison for treason

    The Nazis unsuccessfully try to take over the German government and Hitler is sentenced to prison for five years for treason. While there, he dictates his autobiography and book of political ideas, "Mein Kampf," to Rudolph Hess.
    Continuity & Change: Now a days when someone goes to prison all they think is will they make it out or what shall they do once released but Hitler identified his time as a period to write biographies and change his perpective of the way people think of him and his plans.
  • **The Jewish Holocaust begins

    Another turning point is the Nazis, led by Hitler, begin to systematically eliminate Jews from Eastern Europe. At least six million Jews will be killed, many in brutal concentration camps, before the Holocaust ends in 1945.
    Ethical Dimmension: It is morally wrong for a leader anywhere int he world to kill of people in millions. This is not acceptable by anyone with a human heart who can see any other as a human being let it be any race or religion.

    Hitler withdraws from the League of Nations. In the following months, he trebles the size of the German Army and ignores the arms restrictions imposed by the Treaty of Versailles.
    Cuse and Affect:
    Not allowing the Armed forces causes hitler to begin more armed forces and effects other countries once WW2 begins.
  • ***Hitler becomes Germany's dictator

    A turning Point is after being named chancellor of Germany in 1933, a presidential election is held in 1934 in which Hitler easily wins, partially because he vows to fight communism. He is now firmly in power as dictator of Germany with the title of Fuhrer.
    Coninuity & Change: Hitler being easily winning for a type of man that he was does not happen often now a days. Although what has not changed is that if you are a ruthless man who nows how to take over like a boss it is quit easy even now.
  • Hitler is named Time magazine's "Man of the Year."

    Due to his political dominance and being such as central figure in the world, Time magazine names Hitler as "Man of the Year." The magazine describes the actions of his Nazi Party as "ruthless."
    Community & Change: Hitler being called ruthless has never changed throughout time or hisotry alothough people perciesely now a days would not call him "The man of the year" because he did not show any of that.
  • Attcking Russia

    Germany attacks Russia, ignoring the peace pact. Operation Barbarossa, The German invasion of Russia, begins.
    Historical Singificance: Russia and Germany were declared allie's but after a sudden change of feelings this event occured although nothing big as the out come came out of it.
  • Hitler declares war against the United States

    Four days after Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, Hitler declares war against the U.S. Germany had no agreement with Japan, but Hitler likes the fact that he is now the center of World War II, the biggest war the world has ever seen.
    Contunity & Change: The fact that germany even back then and now has nothing against Japan is good. But from before the U.S and Germany being against each other is still not what occurs now. The german's are embarrassed for there wrong doings and bow against the U.S.
  • Hitler survives an assassination attempt

    Hitler escapes serious injury when a bomb explodes at his headquarters in Berlin. It is the third assassination attempt against Hitler. A senior officer is blamed for planting the bomb.
    Historical Perspective: At the time people were usually easyily bought with the power of money even now a days which allowed that senior officier to plant a bomb he was most likely paid from the enemies of germany to kill him.
  • Hitler orders the destruction of the Germany's infrastructure

    Hitler decides that since Germany has lost the war, the country does not deserve to survive. He orders the destruction of the railroads, highways, and other important features of German industry, but the order is not obeyed.
    Cause and Affect: Hitler (Germans) not winning the war lead to the country to loosing pride and thinking that the country does not need to survive. The affect is that this devestation leads to Hitler wanting to kill off the country in embarrasment by destroying roads.

    Berlin completely besieged by the Soviet Army Fronts of Marshals Koniev and Zhukov.
    Historical Significicane: This allows the Soviet Army Fronts to develope long lasting change and many people are affected mostly positively.
  • Hitler commits suicide in Berlin

    Attempting to avoid being captured by Soviet troops, Hitler kills himself. He commits suicide by shooting himself in the head while biting down on a poisonous cyanide capsule.
    Ethical Dimmension: This is morally as a human being putting myself into his place right to kill myself becuase him causing so much chaos and havic around the globe with the camps and Nazi party it is morally right for him to kill himself for all the bad things and heart break he has caused for people.
