    The Period of Disunion is the time after the Han Dynasty when China had no ruler and was disunified. It lasted from 220 to 589 AD.

    Before Japan became an empire, Japan was a number of clans. The clans got bigger by attacking other clans. One clan was so good at this that they became the first empire. They also believed that they were decendents of the sun goddess.

    In this chapter, I learned more about the different dynasties that came together and ruled China after the Period of Disunion.

    The Qur’an is the holy book of Islam. It was written around, I think 610 C.E.

    During the time close to the end of the Tang Dynasty, a new religion came about. It was Neo-Confussionism. A few scholars found out about Confussionisim and made the decision to make Neo-Confissionism.

    In 711 two armies (one from Arab and one from Berber) joined together and took over Spain and a bunch of other countries. They then decided to take over a country that is known as mordern day France only to be stopped by a Christian army.

    Ghana had all power over the West African Trade because all trade went through his country. The better the trade, the greater his wealth.

    Japan had an interesting background. From their geography to their empires, they had a lot of power for a small country.

    Zen Buddhism came in the 1100s. This religion caught the eye of Japenise soldiers. When the soldiers gained more power, so did Zen Buddhism

    The first shogun came from the clan called the Minamoto clan he took over the emperor’s place in 1192.

    The Mongols tried to invade China and FAILED.

    When Sundiata was a young, someone very bad ruled over his country. When he was older, he got an army together to through the bad guy down. Then he bacame the ruler over his own country.

    During the Song Dynasty, the ways the farmer farmed in China improved greatly. Farmers dug underground wells to transport water underground.

    Ibn Battutah traveled to a few different countries and tried to calculate differences more accurately.

    16.3, The Early Americas, The Inca's Creat an Empir

    Pachacuti, an Incan ruler, was the first to expand Inca. By 1500, tons of other rulers had followed his example and had turned Inca into a huge empire. Inca, by that time had covered what is now Peru, Ecuador, and central Chile.

    Hernan Cortes comes to Mexico and sees there riches so then decides to take over.

    The Japanese wore many long layers of fabric that were very beautiful. Just like today, women in other cultures do the same thing.

    China's art is a type of art that was and is still enjoyed by the people of China. Only in this timeline, it's enjoyed by the entire world.

    The Mayans had an interesting 260 day calendar. Today we also have a calendar but the only difference is our calendar has 360 days.
