The 60´s
Between the decades of 1960 and 1970, new organizations started to rise due to its rising violence. These organizations worked with victimized children inside their home and man who have faced violence. Feminist organizations began working against domestic violence on their own. They started spreading the word in order to gain more support, and they organized the first social solutions, such as a refuge home for victimized women and their children. -
The 70´s
In 1975 , Mexico held a celebration due to Mexico having its first international conference with the United Nations. Its is an important date for the women´s organization against domestic violence. Thanks to these international conferences it impulsed a legislative change in order for the equality between man and woman. This change lead to a fundamental work space and civil field. -
The 70´s
In 1979 El Centro de Apoyo s Mujeres Violadas ( CAMVAC ) was created, to help directly with minores and women who are a victim to sexual assault. Within the 70´s, this form of violence is being recognized world-wide by organizations such as ONU and the OEA. This made countries adapt to new means of protections, attention, and preventions against domestic violence.
