Winter Quarter Independent Study

  • CREATE: Story, characters; FIND: Inspiration for video

Through this project I will keep a list of resources and blog at least twice weekly. The blog will show the current state of the project.
  • WATCH: Tutorial, WRITE: Blog

Today is the beginning of watching tutorials on other parts of After Effects, that do not deal with animation. I will spend these next two weeks watching as many tutorials I can to understand how I can edit filemd footage.
  • BLOG: On Character Development and story inspirations

It is of utmost necessity thst the story, characters, and style be fleshed out, for this is the foundation of the project. If this begins to crumble at any time, then all is lost.
  • DUE: Story, Character Sketches

  • WORK: On movie editing and animating

I'm imagining this next month to be devoted to editing and animating the movie. By now, I should have all the characters drawn, tutorials mostly watched, and footage filmed. Every week, I will blog my progress and show where I am at in the film process.
  • BLOG: On progress

By now I should have a rough short and idea of what the next month of more filming/editing will be. I will continue to work on the movie and possible refine my story board to tailor any insurmountable caveats.
  • SHOW: Movie

Today I'd like to show the class my movie and ask for any feedback.
  • BLOG: On the final stretch

There is only two more weeks until deployment. Ask yourself what is going on? How are things going? Are you at a moment of disaster or on the verge of enlightenment.
  • SHOW: Movie

Today is the time to get last feedback on what you've done. There's only a week left to fix those major and minor tweaks. Hopefully by now, the movie is pretty much finished and you can spend the next week doing MINOR edits. If not, good luck Matt!
  • DUE: Movie

Today is the last day. Hopefully everything has alright and you're not crying or panicing to quickly change yor project last night.
