we gained this land by winning the american revulitoin.there were five states that were created and they are michigan,illinois,indinana,ohio,and wisconsin. in order for theses five ststes to become a state they had to provide free education,draft a bill of rights,a constitution,no slavery,and a population of 60,000 people or more. -
louisiana purchase
we bought this land from france.we purchased it for 15 million dollars. this boosted our economy and the missisppi river and new orleans is how the farmers got their crops to the market.thomas jefferson was credited for this purchase. -
