    The Indian Removal Act was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson. The act was to remove Native Americans from their homes to take the land. It mainly affected the Cherokee Indian tribe.

    The Trail of Tears was the trail that the Native Americans took to leave their homes when the Indian Removal Act started. Many Native Americans suffered from diseases and starvation. About 60,000 died during this journey. It lasted from 1831-1839.

    The mormon trail was when Joesph Smith and other settlers had to keep traveling becuase natives kept making them leave. Smith got killed and Brigham Young took over and they finally ended up in Utah.
