• About Me!

    About Me!
During the "About Me" days we learned how to use lots of different programs such as Google Search Story, Wordle, Tagxedo. Google Search Story was by far my favorite because it allows you to type things in under web, images, news, and other and Google will search them for you and create a video.
  • Blogs!

    Blogs!
We learned how to use Google Reader. Subcribing to blogs is a great idea because instead of going out and searching for the latest news on your favorite topic, it is fed directly to you. This saves a lot of time and a lot of trouble.
  • Photo Editing!

    Photo Editing!
Photo editing can be used a lot when you just want to add a little something extra to a presentation instead of just having a boring old picture. Photo editing is not as hard as I thought it was going to be, it's actually kind of fun.
  • Stumbleupon!

    Stumbleupon!
When we learned about stumbleupon I didn't think it was going to be that useful for every day things. Now, I use it all the time. Since you can check your interests in Stumbleupon, it only brings me things that it knows I'm going to like. I use Stumbleupon now for new dinner recipes and usual crafts to keep myself busy.
  • Youtube!

    Youtube!
Creating a youtube channel helps you save all of the videos that you want to listen to because once you have a channel, you can start making playlists. Making playlists are helpful especially in a class like this so you're not wasting time looking for videos.
  • Prezi!

    Prezi!
Learning how to use Prezi during a class like this was really helpful since Prezi is by no means an easy program to use, at least for me. Once you get the hang of it Prezi is actually kind of fun. Prezi allows you to make presentations a lot more interactive and eye catching.
  • Infographics!

    Infographics!
Infographics are really nice becuase they give you lots of information in just one picture. They are usually really easy to understand too which also makes them really nice. They also have infogrphics on TONS of different things, from drunk driving to how much prom is going to cost.
  • Search Engines!

    Search Engines!
We learned about so many differents search engines so we aren't constantly using Google. Even thought Google is the most used search engine, it isn't always the best at finding exactly what you need. Sites like Heapr.com bring information from Wiki and Twitter into the search results.
  • Google Maps

    Google Maps
Learning how you use Google Maps was helpful to me in many ways. Google maps can give you step by step directions to anywhere you want to go. You can also search for places to eat, gas stations, or attractions in any city you want to go to and you can put a tab next to them and save them. Google Maps would be really helpful if you were planning a vacation and wanted to figure out where everything you wanted to go to was.
  • Glogster!

    Glogster!
Using Glogster for me was really fun. Instead of doing something boring like a slideshow, using Glogster to create a digital poster was much more fun. You can add almost anything you want to it and pick from over 100 backrouds. embedding youtube videos was the most fun for me since you can have a video play while still looking at the poster.
  • Timelines!

    Timelines!
Making timelines online is a lot more intesting than just doing them on paper. I lover using Timetoast (obviously) and I plan on using it a lot more. Doing timelines online makes adding events a lot easier and organizes things really well.
