    It was the first permanent English colony located in Virginia.in the European competition for the New World, which was dominated by Spain since they voyage of Christopher Columbus in the late 15th century. When the colonists settled and met the Indians there was some quarrelsome between them. The English traded metals tools and other supplies with them. The natives showed great gratitude and gave them food.

    House of Burgees
    It was one division of the legislature which was established by Governor George Yeardley which was appointed bythe Virginia company. Each settlement was entitled to select two burgesses which were the original members of the house of burgesses there were 22. The house of commons granted them supplies and originated laws it also gave the governor and council the right to veto . This system remained until the American Revolution.

    The ship that carried the pilgrims was an excruciating 66 days. It set sail on July 1620 but, it had to turn back twice due to leakages on the Speedwell. Eventually they decided to leave it the ship came upon many dangerous storms. But it eventually lamed at Cape Cod on Nov. 11th. They settled on Plymouth rock. The compact was a legal instrument that bound the pilgrims together when they arrived in New England.

    It started the Declaration of the people it would lead the Americans away to obtain equality. The start of the Rebellion was joined by Indentured servants the plantation economy in Virginia wanted a demand for cheap labor which was directed at poor white men.This rebellion unified many races and economic classes. It also led to tax reduction, rights given back to freeman, It brought the Indian Reservation system in 1677.

    This chapter of American History made hysteria in Samuel Massachusetts it led to 19 hangings of people. The hunts took place all over for in western Germany, France, northern Italy, and Switzerland.Some believed that over 110,00 people were tried and between 40,000 and 60,000 were executed.Colonists realized that they were and compensated the families who had lost someone.

The French built forts to protect themselves and the trade they did with the Indians.IN 1754 George Washington led an army against the French and they lost. Britain declared war on France because they wanted control over the valley. Which was known as the French and Indian War.

It's the leading manufacturer of guns. Considered the third smallest state it's very populated.It's name comes from Algonquian word meaning "Land of Steady Habits" Connecticut and Rhode Island where the only two states which failed to ratify the 18th Amendment.

The Puritans established a theocratic government .Cotton and other leaders zealously sought to prevent any independence of religious views. By the 1640;'s the colony had grown 20,00 inhabitants.

    In 1524 Giovanni do Verrazano was sent by France to conquer New York but English settlements also wanted to conquer New York so the English colonists took warships and fought France for it. English colonists won and were known as New York. The first capital of the U.S, was New York City. Its nickname "Empire State" was given to it because of its vast wealth and resources. It is also well known for the statue of liberty, it also was the first state to require license plate for cars.

    Smallest State it rejected the ratification of the 18th Amendment, which banned alcohol in 1920.It was the first of the original 13 colonies to renounce allegiance to Great Britain in 1776and was the last to ratify the constitution in 1790, insisting that the Bill of Rights be added. It is the second most densely populated state. Its major industries are biomedicine services and manufacturing. It is a very religious state. It is democratic.

    During this protest many migrants moved to Chicago,Detroit ,Pennsylvania, and New York. This first occurred during World War1 when over 3,348,000 left the south and went to the northern and western cities. The reason for this movement was because they wanted to escape oppressive economic conditions. Such as lynching, denial of suffrage, unfair legal system, and inequality in education. This forever changed the entire nation.
