    The Discovery of America by Columbus

    Columbus discovered America by mistake in an attempt to find a new trade route to 'the Indies'.

    The French and Indian war was also known as the 7 years war. Consistent with it's name, it lasted 7 years
  • The Boston Tea Party

    Samuel Adams, and the Sons of Liberty threw 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor.
  • The Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The battle of Lexington and Concord was the battle that began the American Revolutionary War. Paul Revere had sounded the alarm late April 18th.

    June 1776 a committee was assigned the difficult task of writing a formalized statement on the intentions of the colonies. It was signed July 4th 1776, which is now known as independence day.

  • The invention of the cotton gin

    Eli Whitney patented the cotton gin, a mechanical way of de-seeding cotton quickly. He's known as the pioneer of american manufacturing.

    The Alien and Sedition acts were laws passed in 1978. The alien acts was a law prohibiting immigration into the United States and giving the government the ability to deport illegal immigrants. The sedition act was a law that prevented any government protest or rebellion.These were both passed by president Adams and are known collectively as the alien and sedition acts.
