    We will be spending three days discussing the themes from TKAM and the important social justice issues raised in that novel. We will develop the discussion to the world around us. The class will be using ipads to research social justice issues. We will go over the Guidelines for a Safe Learning Enviornment before using the ipads.

    Students will get into groups of 4 to develop a popplet brainstorm of social justice issues. Each group will be required to come up with at least 4 issues to discuss. They must also identify the geographic regions that are associated with the issue. Lastly, they must include a short explanation of why this issue is a social justice issue using the definition we previously discussed in class.

    Groups will take their research and develop a Prezi presentation. The Prezi will explain what the social justice issue is, who it effects, what is being done about it, and their own suggestions for how to help solve to problem.

    Each group will give a public speech. Students will use their prezi presentation to present their findings on the social justice issue.
