    I think this is important because it would be bad for society because if taxes were increased. But it would also teach the people resposibility about how to work hard and earn more money in order to live.

    I feel that this statement is important because without laws, the city would fall apart. Laws are part of what help us learn what's right and wrong. Free speech is also a right that we enjoy and let's us speak our mind and let's us have an opinion.

    I think this is important because if King's and Queen's ruled, it would help keep the city under control whereas if there was a large council, then sometime their ideas might clash and that is when conflicts occurr.

    Jesus Christ is believed to be God in Christianity. He was born approximately in 3 BCE, as the year is still unknown. He was born in Nazareth, Galilee. He passed away in the year 30-36 AD/CE.
  • BCE: Julius Caesar is assassinated on the Ides of March.

    Julius Caesar was brutally murdered by his fellow friends on March 15th, 44 BCE, which is also known as "The Ides of March". This powerful leader was stabbed in the chest by his best friend Brutus, along with a couple other former friends. Caesar invented the 365 day calender, which we use today, and had the month "July" named after him in his honour.

    In this year, Julius Caesar becomes dictator of Rome, but he resigned his dictatorship within 11 days. In 48 BCE he was re-named dictator of Rome, but this time for 10 years.

    In this year, the volcano Mount Vesuvius explodes and sends molten lava spreading miles away. Debris covered the streets and the city remained buried under debris for almost 1700 years.

    In this year the Roman Colosseum is built in Rome, and is the biggest bulding built in the Roman Empire. The building was used for holding animal fights, battles, and more!

    In this year the Roman Pantheon was built. It was a church/temple where the Romans went to go and pray. It also happened to hold the largest pearl in the ancient world.
  • BCE Plato opens an academy of learning in Athens. When Plato died, his various different brilliant ideas were used by others.

  • 800-700 BCE the blind poet Homer writes the Iliad and the Odyssey. Homer was a blind poet who was from the Eastern Mediterranean.

  • 800 BCE: Sparta develops the first code of Greek written law to govern its military city-state.

    I feel this is important because since the military ruled, it is teaches them to make good decisions and become role models for the citizens of Sparta.

    In this year, Gauls attacked Rome. The battle was named "The Battle of Allia." I was held by the Allia River which was near Rome. In the end, the Gauls had victory of the Romans.
