The Mars Pathfinder was the first rover NASA sent to Mars.It was tasked with looking for evidence of ancient water and monitor the martian atmosphere. It was launched on December 4th of 1996.
  • Mars Climate Orbiter

    Mars Climate Orbiter

The Mars Climate Orbiter was launched on December 11th of 1998. It was built to monitor the climate of Mars. The orbiter burned up after entering Mars' atmosphere too low.
  • Mars Polar Lander

    Mars Polar Lander

The Mars Polar lander was launched on January 3rd of 1999. It was built to drill into the martian surface and find water ice.
  • Mars Odyssey

The Mars Odyssey was launched on April 7th of 2001 with a mission to make global maps of many chemical elements. It's also a communication relay for rovers and landers on Mars.
  • Spirit and Opportunity Rovers

    Spirit and Opportunity Rovers

Spirit and Opportunity were twin rovers sent to Mars to look for signs on microbial life. They were launched in 2003.
