"Bathing Bathsheba," demonstrates early feminist sentiments of time wherein women were subject to clear gender inequalities.

It is significant as it acts as an opposition to gender equality and contrasts the progressive thinking of the majority of Englightenment philosphers, in regards to gender equality

It is signficant as it demonstrates The consequences of the factory act of 1833 which had a great effect on gender equality. Eliza Marshall accounts her suffering due to long hours of work, malnurishment and poor conditions. However, the source also represnts a removal of women from domestic duties which some may argue is positive in the pursuit of gender equality.

It is significant as it demonstrates the passion of the suffragettes, their militant tactics and offers insight into feminist movements attempting to gain suffrage.

It is signifcant as it demonstrates that Gender equality decreases during economic downturns.
