    The Beer Hall Putsch was a failed coup to gain hold of the government in which Hitler was ultimately senteced to 5 years in jail for Hight Treason. However, this brought attention to the public and Hitler was freed eight months later. He used in trial to gain favour with the public and also published a book called 'Mein Kampf''.

    Hitler had decided to gain power in the government legally and through proper means following his arrest for the Beer Hall Putsch. The NSDAP gained only 2.6% votes in the Riechstag elections.
