In the U.S in 1798 President John Adams issused the Alien and Sedition Acts. Many alien citizes didn't like the ASA, so they decided to create laws that opposed the ASA as a violation of freedom.

GB was fighting a war against France. President James Madison signed a Declaration of War against Britain on June 18, 1812. 2 result to that was that the U.S gain more independent from Europe and began to act like an independent country.

Andrew Jackson helped push teh indians removal act through congress. 3,500 of the 15,000 Creeks who set out for Oklahoma did not survive the trip. The Cherokee people were divided. Some wanted to stay and fight. Others thought it was more pragmatic to agree to leave in exchange for money and other concessions. After the indians were removed it gave the U.S gain land.
