    The Gutenberg press revolutionized the education in the world. By making literature less of a luxury this invention gave the masses the opportunity to learn how to read. Books are still printed today in a more advanced way, but the predecessor was the Gutenberg Press.

    The Scientivic Revolution led to a countless number of inventions and theories. Inventions after the scientific revolution often can find their origin in the thoughts behind this time period. The thoughts also led to the age of Enlightenment.

    The Age of Enlightenment has a special place in history because it is the time period in which people began to form their own opinions of the world. People provided themselves with answers in reguard to the ultimate question, "What is the meaning of life?"

    The Assembley Line

    Ransom E. Olds enacted a type of assembley line in 1901 and is often overlooked in regaurd to the invention. Henry Ford is often mentioned but the difference between them is that Ford added a moving conveyer belt to move parts down the line. We still use this method today in automobile production. It made transportation cheap and available to most Americans.

    The Bolsheviks took pover in Russia causing a rise in communism over the next few decades. This lead to a rivalry between two of the most powerful nations in the world. The revolution led to many conflicts and threatened another World War.

    There are other examples of proxy wars in the course of history but this one is especially important in the Cold War. The U.S. got involved as a part of their containment policy to stop the spread of communism.
