    The Egyptian Civilization
    Six thousand years ago the Eygptian's developed their civilzation around the Nile River valley. Since the Nile River valley's soil is so rich in nutrients the Egyptians are able to grow crops. During the dry season the Egyptians had to create a sophisticated irrigation system that watered the crops. This influenced this region because the Egyptians now had a way to water their crops during the dry season.

    Seventh century Invasions of Arabs
    When the Berbers invaded Vandal and Byzantine, Arab rule was established in Tunisia. This made the Arabian culture thrive through the Ottoman Rule. Also, this brought the Islamic religion from the Arab's in the east.

    In 1922 the Suez Canal was created to link the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea.This made Egypt a regional power and an important center of Arab nationalism. This impacted North Africa because gave the countries that bordered the Red Sea the oppertunity to trade with countries in Mediterranean Sea.

    Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are three major religions that effected the eastern Mediterranean region. These religions all share similar beliefs such as monotheism or the believe in one god.

    Mesopotamia is also known as the area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Mesopotamia is the worlds first cultural hearth. This effected the religion because many different cultures developed and spread in Mesopotamia to other regions in the north-east.

    In 500 B.C the Persian Empire came into north-east region. One of the Persians greatest achievements were underground canals that were known as qanats. This effected the region because they can transport water through mountians.

    In 1923 the Ottoman Empire came to an end. When the empire came to an end, the country Turkey was established. This effected this region because many different ethnic groups developed in Turkey.

    In the 1900's, oil was discovered in the Persian Gulf. over time tehy had to put a embargo on oil because it was being angered over. this really impacted the region because many people came into this region, so they could prosper from the riches of oil

    In the mid-1900s Kuwait won independence from Britian. This treaty with Britian. This ended up making a group of tribal sheikhdoms. This empackted the region because it made new Ethnic groups and cultures threw the sheikhdoms.

    in 100bc Asia prospered from the silk road. It connected China with the Mediterranean sea. this impacted this region because they were able to trade along this route and thrived throughout this time.
  • Soviet Control

    When the soviet Union was destroyed in 1991, many of the countries it had under authority were breaking fromits control. However, Russia still has a military presence in those areas. This impacted the region because the countries get to chose how they want to rule and how they want their economy wants to be like.
