    The Fall of Western Roman Empire

    The Western Roman Empire began in 286 CE, through the creation of Tetrarchy. The Roman empire leader started with Honorius, over the years the Western Roman Empire started to fall apart because the leaders became to greedy and asked the poor people who lived there to pay more for their land, it became too much for them and eventually failed and nobody had money for their land anymore. Ending the Western Roman Empire.

    Charlemagne, the Emperor of Romans

    King Charles also known as Charlemagne was the owner of the large Frankish-dominated empire in the Western and Central Europe during the Middle ages. He got his land by invading the Saxony. Not only that but he also extended his dominance to the south, conquering the kingdom of the Lombard's in Northern Italy. Once Charles died, the kingdom started to split up and was divided up among his heirs, and by the late 800's, it had dissolved.
  • The First Crusade is decreed

    The First Crusade is decreed

    On November 27 1095 CE, one of the kings, he's known as Pope Urban the II, made a very influential speech (One of the most influential speeches of the Middle Ages.) He talked about how giving ride to the Crusades by calling all Christians in Europe to war against Muslims in order to reclaim the Holy land, with a cry of "Deus vult!" or "God wills it!"
  • The Great Famine

    The Great Famine

    In Ireland, the Great Famine, also called the Irish Potato Famine, Great Irish Famine or Famine of 1845-49, had just started. When the Potato Crop failed in successive years. The crop failures were caused by late blight, a disease that destroyed both leaves and the edible roots, or tubers, of the potato plants. Because of this, about one million people died from starvation or from the disease (Typhus) and other famine-related diseases killed off many people.
  • The Black Death

    The Black Death

    In 1348 CE a pandemic rose called the "Black Death". It started from the dirtiness in the streets, as peasants would do their waste outside of their windows and it would land on the baths around the homes, this attracted dirty creatures such as Rats and Fleas around these peasants. The peasants eventually caught this disease and back then, there was no antidote to this sickness, this spread and spread. In conclusion it killed off 25 million - 200 million people.
  • The Great Schism

    The Great Schism

    The Great Schism was created in 1378, it was caused because of a complex mix of religious disagreements and political conflicts. Rome believed that pop - the religious leader of the western church should have authority over patriarch. The religious authority of the eastern church disagreed. This land eventually divided because they couldn't agree on a religion. It ended up in war, as the owners of the land and the two main people sticking up for their religions split up their land.
