  • The Difference Engine

    A Englishman named Charles Babbage designs a machine called the Difference Engine. It calculates maths tables. This machine never crashes. Why? He never fnished it!
  • IBM is founded

    International Buisness Meachines Cooperation is founded. IBM for short. This company soon expands to be the worlds largest computer company.
  • Colussus

    A group of British mathmatitians work together to create colussus- a computer that crakes German codes. The catch? It fills 5 rooms!
  • Transistors

    A little nifty device called the transistor is invented. So what? Well, these mean that computers will be smaller. These can store more memory than the prevous computers, like Colssuss.
  • Silicon Microchips

    MIcrochips are here! These little gizmos replace transistors as they are smaller, faster and better.
  • World Wide Web is created

    Tim Berners-Lee creates the WWW. Allowng us to seardh for funny pictures, videos and files on the interret. It also allows us to communicate from all over the world in seconds. (The date above isn't that accurate.It s a rough date.)
  • Pong

    The first computer game is created. A simple 2-player game that plays tennis. Each player contrals a 'racquet' that hits a 'ball' across a 'net'. Not exactly minecraft but still, it was the seventies.
  • Apple is founded

    Apple, like IBM soon grows to be one of the biggest computer company in the world. Its first computer, the apple 1 is released in July 1976.
  • USB

    The USB is invented. This little gadget stores seperate memory in it. So what this means is that you can now bring around documents wthout havng to bring you computer with you, simply put your USB in your pocket and brng it around with you.
  • The Future

    Computers are getting smaller and smaller every year. What will happen in a decade or two?
