Holes in Punch Card
A piece of paper that has holes in it which carries digital information and can be entered into a computer. It was used to enter information into computers before keyboards were invented. -

A programming language with brilliant extraction from the details of the computer. Allows for languages on computers. -

The first electronic spreadsheet was the VisiCalc, which was invented by Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston. The electronic spreadsheets have come a long way since then but still have the same basic structure. -
PC
PC stands for Personal Computer. It is a computer that is small, reasonably priced item that is useful and affordable for individuals. -
UNIX operating system
The system is used in servers, workstations, and mobile devices. It was a key element to the development of the internet. -
CRAY-1
CRAY-1 was a supercomputer created by Cray Research. It is now one of the most well-known supercomputers. -
Altair
The Altair was usually sold as a kit so people could build the computer themselves. Many people view it as the first “personal computer”. -
Windows
Windows is a PC operating system created by Microsoft. Most people use this as their main software on their personal computers. -
Apple
Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne were the founders of Apple. Apple is an American corporation that makes all different types of electronics. These electronics include personal computers, consumer electronics, and computer software. -
Macintosh
Macintosh is Apple’s best known product. Macbooks, iPhones, iPads, and iPods are all part of the Macintosh line. Macintosh is also known as Mac.
