    It was designed by a british person called William Moggridge. It was invented for Grid Systems Corporation. It was also used by NASA on the space shuttle program in the early 1980's.

    It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg. It was made in Harvard University. Mark Zuckerberg had help from his fellow roommates; Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.

    Development of what was to become the iPhone began in 2004, when Apple started to gather a team of 1000 employees to work on the highly confidential "Project Purple", including Sir Jonathan Ive, the designer behind the iPhone.

    The application was first introduced on the google blog on the 8th february 2005, It used to be known as Google local.
  • Youtube created

    YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal. Hurley had studied design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, while Chen and Karim studied computer science together at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

    The 3D mapping system allows people to find places make routes by typing in postcode.

    Based in Newport, Wales. The company's founder and chief executive officer is Hayley Parsons. Before she Started GoCompare.com she worked for Admiral Insurance for 14years. She was formely head of buisness development at Confused.com.
  • 4OD Launched

    Channel 4 decided to launch 4OD when they saw how big "Iplayer" was. It shows all the shows on chanel 4 upto 14 days after they were shown.
  • Iplayer was Launched

    Iplayer was launched on 27th July 2007 by BBC. It was created so you could watch a TV show that the BBC showed 7 days after it was on TV.

    This app became available for iphone users in 2008.
