3000 B.C.- invention of the Abacus
The Abacus was the first counting device. This invention began the use of machines. -
1679- invention of the Binary code.
The binary code was introduced by Leibniz and will soon become the basis of computing codes. -
1850- Boolean Logic invented
Boolean Logic was created by George Boole and will become the basis for computer logic in the future. -
1892- invention of the first typerwriter.
The typewriter was the first typing machine and it was invented by William Austin Burt. Thus began the use of keyboards. -
1940- introduction of the Z1
the Z1 was invented by Zuse and is the first programmable calculating machine to use the binary system. -
1945- First computer "bug"
The first computer "bug" was literally a bug and it flew into the machine and caused a huge malfunction and thus originated "ccmputer bugs" aka viruses today. -
1950- The Whirlwind computer invented
The Whirlwind computer was invented by Jay Forrester and his team at MIT and it was the first real-time computer. -
1964- First computer mouse invented
The first working computer mouse was invented by Douglas Engleburt. It made navagation a whole lot easier. -
1976- First Apple computer developed
The first Apple computer was made by Steven Jobs and Stephen Wozhiak. It was built in their garage and it isnt much more than a circuit board in a wooden box. It was the start of something HUGE! -
1985- Microsoft Windows is released
Microsoft WIndows is released for the first time and is now one of the biggest corporations today.
