  • Fall of Bastille

    The Bastille was a prison in Paris. A mob stormed Bastille on July 14th of 1789 expecting to find political prisoniers. it is known as Bastille Day.

    Peasants burned the chateux of the nobles and houses which contained their document of property rights.
  • The Declaration of Rights of Man

    The representative of the French people beleived that ignorance and indeference was the cause of France conflicts. The Declaration of The Rights of Man declares that all man have the natural right to liberty, equality and fraternity.
  • Women March on Versailles

    French women were very angry with the government especially their queen Marie Antoinette. The purpose of the march to Versailles was to get the price of bread to decreased which at the time and still is one of France main food.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    King Louis XVI had ordered soldiers to barricade the doors of Parliament . Hence, the third estate met on the tennis court and swore to come up with a new Constitution.
