  • Stonewall Inn Riots

    Riots in the mob-owned bar in New York City that allowed the gay community to socialize. Many reported custumers were beaten by cops.
  • First Gay-Pride Parade

    Gay-pride parades were held in NYC, Chicago, and LA in honor of the one year anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
  • No Longer a Disorder

    Homosexuality is removed from the disorder list of American Psychiatric Assoiciation.
  • First Gay Elected Rep

    Elaine Noble is the first openly gay elected representative.
  • Democratic Support

    Democratic National Convension announces it supports gay rights,

    AIDS appears in America and is automatically named the "gay plague."

    Matthew Shepard is killed after being tortured for being a homosexual.

    Hawaii amends their constitution and revokes same-sex marriage.
