Napoleon leads his naval and land armies against egypt. Sailing from Toulon on May, 19, 1798 lead to the capture of Malta and the Frenchs defeat at the battle of the nile. -
18 Brumaire coup
This event not only overthrew the goverment but it also ended the French revolution and led to Napoleon becoming the first consul for life. -
First Consul for Life
When Napoleon became the first consul for life he had a new constitution that his succesion would be left to his son. Although Napoleon had no children. -
Napoleonic Code
The code forbid privileges based on birth, allowed freedom of religion, and specified that government jobs are for those who are most qualified. -
Napoleons Coronation
Normally when someone would have been coronated for king or emperor the religious leader would place the crown on the new leaders head, but Napoleon took the crown and placed it on his head himself to show he held all the power. -
Battle of Trafalgar
This was a battle waged by the Royal fleet against a combination of the French and Spanish navies. -
Battle of Austerlitz
This is one of Napoleons greatest victories, where he crushed the Third Coalitition. -

After Napoleon's costly invasion of Russia failed he was forced to retreat with less food and supplies not to mention soldiers. -

Sometimes referred to as the Battle of Nations was fought between the Russian, Prussian, Austrian, and Sweden armies on one side and the French army on the other at Leipzig, Saxony. -

Napoleon was 45 years old when he reached Elba's capital during his first exile. -

This battle was fought at Waterloo in present day Berlin, then parts of the Netherlands and United kingdoms. -

Napoleon's Death
Napoleon perishes at age 51 just two months separating his birthday from his death.
