    Amos and Andy was one of the most popular shows on AM radio. This comedy played nightly for 50 minutes. This one show completely changed the radio as we know it. The show featured Amos in Andy who were black in Harlem New York yet the actors on the show were two white men painted with black faces.

RCA poured millions of dollars into the development of television after seeing the great success of radio. By 1939 RCA was televising the New York Worlds Fair, President Roosevelt"s speeches, and baseball.
