F.C. Williams
F.C. Williams develops his cathode-ray tube (CRT) storing device the forerunner to random-access memory (RAM). I chose this because we learned about RAM in class so it would be something inmportant, to me, to put on the timeline. -
Leo
T. Raymond Thompson and John Simmons develop the first business computer, the Lyons Electronic Office (LEO) at Lyons Co. I chose this because it's a business computer and businesses are imprtent to our economy. -
Silicon Chip
The first integrated circuit, or silicon chip, is produced by the US Jack Kilby & Robert Noyce. I chose this because we also learned about this in class and it seemed important. -
The First Computer Game
The first computer game, Spacewar Computer Game, invented BY Steve Russell & MIT. I chose this because I love computer games and this is a fun game. -
Floppy Disk
IBM creates the first floppy disk. I chose this because I really liked the name, not a very good reason, but it has a kool name. -
E-mail
E-mail was invented by Ray Tomlinson. I chose this because I use email a lot for my band pages on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. and I use it for communication when I have my phone taken away. -
Apple
Apple Computers was founded Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. I chose this because just about everything electronic that I see people with is all an Apple product. -
Paul Allen and Bill Gates
IBM hires Paul Allen and Bill Gates to create an operating system for a new PC. They buy the rights to a simple operating system manufactured by Seattle Computer Products and use it as a template to develop DOS. -
Nintendo
The Nintendo Entertainment System makes its debut. I chose this because I love video games and Nintendo has some of my favorite games of all time time. For example: Mario, DK, Zelda, POKEMON. O.o <3 -
The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web is launched to the public. I chose this because the WWW is a crazy mathematical thing and probably everyone's lives are on it, including mine. -
eBay
EBay is founded by Pierre Omidyar. I chose this because my mom works at eBay in the call center and her and I get a lot of stuff from eBay. -
Xbox!! ^_^
Bill Gates introduces the Xbox, I chose this because I love Xbox like I love life~ <3 -
Skype
eBay acquires Skype. I chose Skype because when my family can't go to weddings, funerals, birthday parties, etc. we just Skype them instead of actually going. Genius. -
iPad
The iPad was introduced. I chose the iPad because my dad and stepmom both have an iPad (and my dad's on his second one in 5 months because he breaks them) and they're technically replacing a computer for them. -
Siri
Siri on iPhones was introduced. I chose this because a lot of people use Siri, they may hate it, but they still use it.
