  • First Disposable Camera

    First Disposable Camera In the early 1940s, commercially viable color films were brought to the market. These films used the modern technology of dye-coupled colors in which a chemical process connects the three dye layers together to create an apparent color image. The colors included red, yellow, and blue that made an apparent image.
  • History of the Computer: ENIAC

    History of the Computer: ENIAC
    ENIACDeveloped by the Ballistics Research Laboratory in Maruland to assist in the preparation of firing tables for atillery. It was built at the University of Pennsylvania's Moore School of Electronic Engineering. It was completed in 1945 but started to be used in June of 1947.

    JOHNNIACThe JOHNNIAC was completed in 1954. The enclosure for the 2.5 ton computer held over 5,000 vacuum tubes, were hand-wired and air-cooled. It was used by many RAND researchers including Artificial Intelligence pioneers Newell, Shaw and Simon.

    The Internet

    The Internet The Internet was first develop in the 1960s with networks such as the SABRE and ARPA. By 1995, the ARPANET was forgotten and replaced by the Ethernet that was able to easily scale contributing factors that we use today.
  • The ARPANET

    ARPANETThe Arpanet was established in 1969 and was a testbed for new networking technologies by connecting universities and research centers. The first two institures that started using the Arpanet was UCLA and the Stanford Research institute. Over the nest decade, the ARPANET spread out to include networks such as the CSNET and EUnet, and finally evolved into the INternet that we know today.
  • First Floppy Disk

    The Floppy Disk The floppy disk was invented by Alan Shugart in 1971 and was originally called the memory disk. The first disks were invented and used for loading microcodes into the controller of the Merlin (IBM 3330). Overnight, additional uses for the floppy were discovered, making it a really good storage space for this program.
  • First Inkjet Printer

    Inkjet Printer Origanally, it was first made into a dry ptinting process in 1938 and in 1953, the first high-speed printer was developed by the Remington-Rand for the use of the Univac computer. The Xerox printer had begun in 1969 and was completed in November of 1971. The engineer, Gary Starkweather, adapted the printer by adding a laser beam to it to come up with the laser printer.

    IMSAI 8080This was built by IMS Associates, INC> of San Leandro, California. It was one of the first consumer computer available during the mid-70s. It was manufactured and solde by the IMS Associates, Inc. The total amount of them released was between 17,000-20,000 units that were produced from 1975-1978

    Microsoft History Bill Gates first announcedMicrosoft WIndows and soon released 1.0 and was sold initially for $100 inbetween November of 1983 and 1985. In the 90s, over 10 different prototypes for Microsoft. In 2009 and 2012, Windows 7 and 8 are released.

    The First Macintosh: Apple
    The Macintosh With a 128k RAM memory, the Macintosh was released in January of 1984. Since it was insufficient to consumers, they came out eigth months later with the 'Fat Mac' wih 512k RAM, four times more than the previous design. It was convenient for adequate dekstop publishing, but not many people appreciated the 9" screen, which was small and limiting. It was also portable, weighing only 16 pounds and had its own carrying bag.

    Commodore CDTV The Commodore is an interactive multimedia and entertainment center which is used to help play VCR and other cassettes. It costed approximatly $200 and was designed for the Amiga 500 computer system

    The Bluetooth

    The Bluetooth The bluetooth wasn't invented until 1994 by engineers at a Swedish based company named Ericsson, but they didn't begin producing the products until 1998 when the Special Interest group was formed in 1998. The companies included Ericsson, Intel Ibm, Toshiba, and Nokia Mobile Phones, and the first Bluetoth products were released in 1999.
  • The First iPhone

    The First iPhoneIn January of 2007, Apple released its first iPhone that revolutioinized the future of how modern technology was made. When the iPhone was first released, it originally didn't have CDMA and EVDO netoworks. Which wasn't convenient because it wasn't able to first work on Verizon and Sprint.
  • The First iPad

    The First iPadThen first iPad was presented by the late Steve Jobs during a corporate keynote meeting. IT was rumored first that the iPad was in manufacturing even before the first iPhone. The iPad is also considered one of the most technological advanced products created by Apple.
