    Slavery

    Slavery started out pretty much right when we got here. We took boats to Africa and enslaved many Blacks. We made them do our work for us. They were beaten and whipped, but did nothing wrong except try to get free. One of the worst things about our slavery, was that it was racist. Even with all these negetives, it still improved our government a lot. They produced all the cotton and we were selling cotton like never before. Finally, slavery was abolished, but we still had to get passed racism.

    Andrew Jackson's life time

    Andrew Jackson improved our government a lot, but there were many "punishments" that we had to face. First of all, he made our country look good with a final sneak attack with the Brittish, but it was after the war ended. Second, he made more land for us for cotton, but we had to remove the peaceful Native Americans. However without these things, our country would not have been able to grow into a better nation.

    The Declaration of Independence was witten for our freedom. However, the King of england rejected it. Then he went to war with us. This was very important because, the Declaration of Independence sparked the whole war for our freedom.

    Before the U.S. Constitution was created, the Articles of Confederation was hurting the U.S., So delegates from each state got together and formed a new Government. This helped create the Government that we have today. More importantly, this government gives us our freedom's, but also protects us.

    The civil war lasted about 5 years. Many battles occured within the whole war. It was important because it ended slavery when the south surrendered. The war was one of the main starting points of racial equality. The war was very bloody, but the north beat the south with their anaconda plan, which cut off the south supplies, and they eventually surrendered.

    Fall of Richmond VA,
    The union were trying to break into the southren capital for many years to end the were, but were unsuccessful. on April 2 1865, the confederates set fire to their important documents, but it gets out of hand, and it sets fire to the whole city. The next day, the north makes their final raid, and completely destroys what's left of Richmond VA.

    Transcontinental Railroad Officially Finished
    The Transcontinental Railroad was a railroad that connected the east and the west of the U.S. It was used for transportation to get to places, find new homes, and boomtowns even started rising up. This was very important because it brought many immigrants to the U.S. and started many businesses.

    Oklahoma Land Rush
    The Oklahoma Land rush was when people who wanted free land in the west headed out to Oklahoma to get a big area of free land. Many people moved from the city for free land. When every spot was filled, there was an over abundance of wheat, and they weren't making as much money, and couldn't pay off their depts. This was important because it moved people to the west, and opened up more space in the cities.

    World war 2 came two decades after world war 1. World war 2 involved over 30 countries! Some say that there was about 85 million who died in the war.

    Apollo 11 lands on the moon.
    Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to land on the moon. Armstrong was the first to step onto the moon. It was very important at that time because we were finnally better than Russia. We aslo got more info and space technology upgrades.

    The Hubble telescope was launched into orbit on April the 24 in 1990. It was a basic form, but it gave astromoners a clear veiw of the universe. It was named after Edwin Hubble, who was an astromoner. This was of high impotance, because now we know more about of the universe, and more complicated forms of telescopes.

    When I was born, I was not born where I live. I was born in a hospital. Most people are born in a hospital in America. This event was very important, because I was born and my parents would not know what to do with out me and my two other younger brothers.

    9/11 was a very tragic day. There was thousands of people killed that day. we all were scared because we had never been under attack before. However, there was good that came out of it. Everybody came together and stood as one nation. Even fishing boats came with sailiors and they carried people out of manhattan. That day, we actually knew what it ment to be a united nation.
