  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    Montgomery Bus Boycott
This all started because of a Afican American lady, Rosa Parks, not wanting to give up her seat on the bus. She was arrested for not wanting to give up her seat to a white person. This was lead by Martin Luther King Jr. This event was a non-violent event and also lasted over a year. Afican Americans no longer road the buses after that, they arranged carpools and/ or walked.
  • Sit-ins

    Sit-ins
This all started when four black students from North Carolina AT&T collage sat at a Woodworth lunch counter. This act was non- violent. It had to do with the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee or (SNCC). Afican American students basically sat down at a lunch counter to be served food and whites would crowd around them and throw stuff at them for not moving out of there spots.

  • Creole Case #2

    Creole Case #2
I think that the Creole Case was a big help in ending slavery considering it was the biggest slavery case in the U.S. The ship had 135 slave prisnors on it and this case saved all of them.
  • John Brown #2

    John Brown #2
I belive that John Borwn had a lot to do with this slavery case because he stuck to his word and wasnt giving up. It was all over within less than 36 hours. Brown lead a gruop of 18 men, a cople died, but he never gave up and faught for what he believed in, and thats why I think this helped alot.
  • Black Seminole #2

    Black Seminole #2
I feel like the balck seminole really helped the Indians out. It made them free to live where ever they wanted. Today they live in the rural communities of Oklahoma. Afican Americans are now free to go and live wherever because of the Black Seminole.
  • Amistad #2

    Amistad #2
I do believe that Amistad helped out alot in making slaves free because everyone got to see the two sides to the story, the slaves side and the slave holders side. I dont think we should have ever had slaves, that just makes us white people look lazy. I would rather work for my money.
  • Freedom Riders #2

    Freedom Riders #2
Whites and blacks coming together and going on rides to do stuff together helped alot. People seeing them being together probably didnt know what to think. I think this helped the slavery end because they came together as friends and rode together.
  • 14th Amendment #2

    14th Amendment #2
An amendment is something that is a law and you stand by it, therefore once this became a law, everyone had to follow it. I do think that this probably helped out more than any of them. This law gave full rights to the blacks, and thats how it should be. The whites and blacks were now equal after this law was made.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott #2

    Montgomery Bus Boycott #2
I think this helped alot because Rosa wasnt scared to stand up for herself. She was not moving from her seat until she got arrested. Then blacks stopped riding the bus, it caused them to lose money. Then marches started and thats what got everyone going.
  • Sit-Ins #2

    Sit-Ins #2
I think that the Afican Americans that took this step are very brave and love there color. They didnt care what people thought and said, they did what they wanted just like the whites. Standing up for themselves take alot and did alot.
