    Christopher Colombus first began with a route of sailing to Asia. Then Spain launched many voyages of exploration to the new world. The Spanish seeked land of the New World. As they reached land a serious effect happened to the Native Americans.

    With the diseases the Spanish brought over from Europe, many Native Americans died. Native Americans didn't just die from the diseases that were brought over, they died from harsh conditions while being laborers. As Natives died off, the Europeans replaced them with African slaves.
