Ivan III was born on 22 January, 1440, in Moscow, Russia. He was the oldest son of Basil II. He married princess Maria of Tver in 1452.Became the grand Duke of Moscow in 1462. In 1503, Ivan created peace treaties to end the war with Luthuania. Ivan was succeded by his son Basil III in 1505.
