Petrarch was one of the renaissance's earliest humanists looking into deeper thinking. Mainly known for his poem he wrote the Canzoniere a collection of his poems. most of the poems consist of telling the story of a girl he fancies but cannot be with.

perspective is the use of art with a three-dimensional design to create depth. This breaks through normal art standards allowing for the creation of new art styles and allowing for blueprints to be designed. this allows not only for art to advance but for construction and architecture as well.

Leonardo da Vinci was a brilliant inventor and artist during the renaissance. he painted many famous arts including the last supper and the Mona Lisa. he also invented numerous inventions that we were only were able to build with our recent tools and where they couldn't build for about 300 years.

Johan Gutenberg was a german inventor that invented the printing press. he made a design that used wooden blocks to stamp the letters on paper. this allowed for increased knowledge to be spread and distributed in the renisance

Copernicus was a brilliant mathematician that came up with the heliocentric model. this model puts the earth revolving around the sun instead of the other way around. while this was incredibly revolutionary and ultimately right he was ridiculed for the idea until proven by other scientists later like galileo.

Raphael was a famously known artist during the renaissance. during his prime, he was mostly painting religious paintings like the ones in the Vatican as well as painting paintings like the madonna. He was also known for his architecture during the time.

martin Luther furthered the religious spectrum during the renaissance. Originally roman catholic he decided to write the 95 theses about what was wrong with the church. For his acts against the church, he was excommunicated but followers of his beliefs left with him and they became the Lutherans.

during his rule, he was an absolute monarch and a great king during his earlier years but was unable to produce a male heir. Since divorce is not allowed in catholicism he broke off and created the church of England. This was incredibly shocking at the time and drove a giant spike in between England and the pope.

the sale of indulgences allowed people to quote on quote buy their place into heaven and help the church. what really happened was the church was just looking for a way to earn more money for sculptures paintings, ect.. this led to a rift in the catholic religion.

the heliocentric model created a solar system that revolved around the sun. This was one of the big changes in how humans thought back in the renaissance era. this theory was eventually proven to be true and found to be our most used model of our solar system.

the scientific method was the first real way for scientists to understand how the world works through actual science. this method allowed scientists to test through trial and error to figure out how the world works. this becomes a great tool in discovering how the universe works scientific experiments and even physics.

this turned the buying of indulgences into a thing of the past. they first condemned the sale of indulgences but later abolished the idea as a whole. This allowed many people to come back for the loss in followers was because of this feature in the religion.

Galileo was a brilliant inventor and professor. he invented the telescope after improving the common spyglass of the time. This invention led to the discovery of the moons around Jupiter and led as well to a more detailed look into the science known as astronomy.

Shakespeare was a well-known play writer and actor of his time period. he wrote many tragedies such as Romeo and Juliet and other plays like Macbeth. He even acted some of the characters in his own plays

Newton was mostly known during his time for his laws on gravity and motion. the law of gravity does in turn tie into his laws of motion especially the law of acceleration an object will keep moving unless acted upon by an outside force. these laws furthered our understanding of our world, especially in physics.
