    the crusades were a series of religious wars between Christians and Muslims started primarily to secure control of holy sites considered sacred both groups there was at least 8 crusades. the first crusade lasted from 1096-1099. the second crusade began in 1147 and ended 1149. the third crusade started in 1189 and was concluded in 1192 As areas around the Baltic Sea were taken by the crusaders, traders and settlers mostly German moved in and profited economically.

    The high Renaissance was centered in Rome and this period of time was noted for inspiring ideas back into art. The artists keys were focused on presenting pieces of visual, symmetrical, and perfection. One the most famous paintings was created by Leonardo de Vinci in 1503 which was the Mona Lisa. The high Renaissance ended in 1520's with the death of Raphael other say it ended in 1527 with the Sack of Rome.

    The Scientific Revolution was events that used modern science during the modern period, developments like math, physics, astronomy, biology, and chemistry changed views of society about nature. During this time Galileo built the enhanced refracting telescope in 1609. He discovered Jupiter's four largest satellites, spots on the sun, phases of Venus, hills and valleys on the moon.
