    Papyrus in Egypt

    Papyrus in Egypt
    | Egyptians used papyrus for paper. |
"Papyrus is a plant that grows wild all over the Nile river valley, so it is very common in Egypt."
    Thoughts:
The Egyptians were the first to use papyrus for paper, but soon, all of West Asia turned to it as it was more convenient than clay tablets. That slight change in media for me, is already a sign of evolution. It happens in little changes like this.

    Clay Tablets in Mesopotamia

    Clay Tablets in Mesopotamia
    | An example of Cuneiform writing on a tablet. |
"Cuneiform is a system of writing first developed by the ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia."
    Thoughts:
I've always found languages like this that don't make use of the alphabet in writing quite intriguing. The two languages that I'm fluent in both use letters to convey meaning, and so whenever I'd encounter languages like Japanese or Thai, I'm easily amused. It's just amazing how this tablet contains so much!

    Pre-industrial Age

    Pre-industrial Age
    "A time before the internet."
Or, a time where people had to do things the hard way in order to survive. What a time to be alive. This particular age is said to be the period before the 1700s and during this time, the main outlet for communication was to carve paintings on walls or stones, and to use plants as paper. This was a clear sign that people back in the day already had an idea on how to communicate through written means. This just shows how relevant media is, as it dates far back.
