  • Pyotr Alekseye A.K.A. Peter the Great was born in Moscow, Russia

  • Peter's parenrs died and left the throne to him and his brother Ivan V

  • Due to being underage Peter's hals sister Sophia took over the throne

  • Peter and Ivan challeneged Sophia and won. They ruled Russia equally

  • Ivan V died and Peter became the sole ruler of Russia

  • Peter defeated Sweedish army and gained partial control of the black sea

  • Established St. Petersburg on the Black Sea, known as the "window to Europe"

  • Peter secretly executed his eldest son who was convicted of treason

  • Russia became an Empire amd Peter became Emperor of all Russia

  • Peter the Grear died without naming an heir to the throne
